Freedom of Religion or Belief in the Kyrgyz Republic

● In 2013, “Interfaith Council”, together with the public foundation “Open Viewpoint”, published a report on “Freedom of Religion or Belief in the Kyrgyz Republic”. This study contains information on the current situation concerning religion and freedom of consciencein Kyrgyzstan. The authors discuss issues of observance of the right to profess religion in Kyrgyzstan. The published materials highlight the relations between religious organizations and state institutions, issues of interfaith relations; there is also a brief overview of the history of religion on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The published study is addressed to a wide range of specialists, legal and religious organizations.
